The Center for Peace and Restoration is a place to gather for
Spiritual formation, community connection, and personal well-being.
Purpose

As a project of the Coalition for Peace and Restoration (CP&R), The Center serves as a gathering place to facilitate events and interactions focused on leadership development, individual and community faith formation, and resources for mental and emotional regulation.

These will be accomplished through activities such as:

-
Regular (monthly) city-wide gatherings for fellowship, teaching, and worship
-
Periodic regional urban retreats
-
Special events such as film screenings and performing arts
-
One-on-One Spiritual Direction (subsidized)
-
One-on-One Counseling and Therapy (subsidized)
-
Other weekly or periodic formation opportunities
Location

The Center will be centrally located on the second floor of the Recovery Cafe (701 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46225). This is a newly remodeled space designated for non-profit organizations that share a common mission with our fiscal sponsor, We Bloom and the Recovery Cafe. The space will include an office for therapy and spiritual direction, as well as a separate area for small group gatherings and creative projects. There is also space available for larger gatherings and training.
Staff

Rev. Laura Beth Buchleiter, in her role as co-creator for CP&R, will also serve as the event planner, teacher, and Spiritual Director for The Center. Therapists will be contracted to offer subsidized services in the space on a rotating schedule.

The Center will also rely on volunteers for leadership at periodic worship services, promotion, and event management.
Funding

Funding and in-kind resources will be through grants, the support of local congregations, and individual donors.
